It bothers me the US version didn’t have the headlight covers, the sugar scoops uncovered look totally wrong to me now that I have had the covers on mine for so long. It must have been an option else where though because I see some without covers in Japan as well. All the ZG cars had them though.

Yeah, I can see that. The lines are just so timeless.

As much as I dig fender mirrors in general , the long uno bstructed hood gets the nod from me.

Yeah I didn’t go for the wing mirrors, but 80's plastic mirrors are not ok for me!

Lot’s of great ideas there, I like the more jaguar e type styling that the triumph TR6 boxy shape they have up on the wall.

They do that because they don’t make a US market passenger side mirror, you have to flip one upside down to use on that side. It’s actually looks fine when people do it, the shape is almost symmetrical so nobody ever notices . I don’t have one, I was thinking about it but it isn’t correct for the car and I don’t want to drill holes in it.

The end result was obvious great, one of the best looking cars period. But the A Trial on the lower right  is hot and I want one

I do like the green, I like my orange but sometimes I think about a toned down color. I did manage to get light covers like that.

Thanks I hate it.

Ok so maybe “hate” is a stronger word than what I’m actually feeling here, but man it’s weird without that fastback design. The S30 is one of my favorite cars ever, and it just feels so wrong to see it without those iconic shapes. I’m so pleased with the final production look.

It’s interesting though isn’t it? Perhaps these are closer to its origins as the Datsun Fairlady . It wouldn’t have been out of character, and in a lot of ways the Z we got was very out of character. But it was better for it - it’s a good thing it turned out how it did
